did you guys leave the filter on the lens when you sent the lens off to canon? will they give it back to you or should you just take it off?

They will want $120 to do it if you dont have it registered for the warrenty. I guess doing that online on their site doesnt count either. You have to have a copy of the bill of sale and the warrenty card. Dont send it with filter, or lens hoods. ONLY lens caps.
