Hi,
Just to give you some background on this wonderful animal, she's not mine , though we felt in love :o  during an unespected shoot, in a nacional equidian event I unnintencionaly went to this weekend.

So, I went to a good friend's daughter aniversary party, which took place in a farm, in which, also some horse competition (barriers) was being held.
While the kids were having some fun, we went to the paddocks and saw some of the competition from there. I was carrying the 70-200, and yes, as it is a bit flashy :o, one of the participants asked if I would mind taking some shots of his horse. I said it would be OK, took some and then he asked if I was with the media there :lol:. I explained I wasn't and he asked me if I cared to take some more for him...
Well, to cut a long story short, I had a blast! :D
The horse, Pimenta, was a real lady and very amusing.
In the end he was ready to offer payment for the photos. I refused as the fun had been completly mine and frankly never thought I would see the day someone would want to pay me for a photo . In fact, I think I would even pay for such a good time.
But off course, I offered to give him the photos in CD. He may use them as he wants, but I suspect they will mainly be for personal use as he loves that horse.
Now at home going through the photos I think I have some good ones and I will print some in A4 to give him also.
I won't be able to share with you guys the ones in which he also appears , for several reasons, but I would greatly appreciate to have your feedback on the ones I'm posting here. (I may be able to post some more later)
Any comments are welcome, as always. ;)

Presenting the Lady, Pimenta:

And now I would like your opinion particularly on this one. She does this, flirting, and playing , just before she rolls over to scratch her body in the dirt.
As the background she choose was really not that good I thought of converting to B&W. What do you think? B&W or Colour? (I don't know why this version of the B&W for the web came out a bit smaller)

Wonderful shot. I like it in both color and B&W, but if I had to pick, it would be color. The blue against her coloring with the green and the salmon wall is actually rather interesting to look at, once you get past her being a contortionist.

Great shot, like I said.

Best-
Noni

#2 is a winner and I agree with Noni, the color version is more interesting ( great shot either way)

Noni, Vetteography, Frank and Skade,

Thank you very much for your replies.
I have already printed the 2nd one in A4 and it realy is a beauty. I'm glad you also think that.
I printed the B&W and liked it. It came out very contrasty. But tomorrow I will have to print the color version, as I see it is prefered for you guys. I was a bit afraid that the background didn't work, but I know Pimenta has a beautiful color and very well treated fur, that maybe doesn't come out in the B&W tones.
I will compare then but I am already convinced the Color will be one of the gifts to the owner.

Thank you for your comments and for letting me know your opinion. It realy helps. ;)

Cheers,
Jaime

OK. So, following your your advise I printed the color version and, yes, it realy shines. Thanks again for the input.

I'll keep the B&W to myself as I enjoyed it, though.

Still, I did another one with the complete sequence of rolling and will also be offering that.
Thought of sharing that also with you guys. :D
