Hello everyone, well I have decided my next purchase is going to be a flash/strobe or 2. My photography has really come to a halt and I thinking getting some sort of lighting will definitely give me more ideas/possibilities on things to shoot.

So that brings me to my question; what will work best for me? I will be shooting cars and portraits and I want 2 light sources.. For what I will be shooting, will 2 AB800's or 2 430EXII's be best for me? Or do you recommend anything else? Is 1 of each a good idea?

I will also be purchasing a softbox, 2 umbrellas, stands, bounces, diffusers, etc..

Just if you can give me help, I appreciate it a lot!

between speelites (430ex) and the ab800, i would go for the alienbees. you'll have more power and faster recycling time. although you'll have more portability with the speedlites but you can always buy the vegabond for the abs.

EDIT: go for 2 of the ABs instead of getting one of each.

Alright that is what I have been thinking. I got to pool a bit of money together and decide what I want to spend because I still want to buy CS4 (I'm getting the student edition) and then all the lighting equipment.. So I will see what my wallet can afford at the moment ;)
