I'm going out to shoot some waterfalls later this week (weather permitting). Oh well, we can still get some pretty good videos with the camera as is. 7DMKII, 5DMKII, Canon 17-40L, Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro, Canon 70-200mmL f/2.8 II, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary, Zeiss ZE 50mm Makro Planar, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, Kenko Pro 300 DG 1.4x TC, Canon 2X III TC, 580EX II x2, YN560, RF603's

May 27, 2009 12:34 | #8 This is very cool! Even though I have very little experience with shooting video I have already become somewhat frustrated with the lack of these controls. It's great to see that Canon is coming through for us with this update. Jim

Fix the audio, Canon! The 3rd party workaround for this is much more expensive and inconvenient than those required for the video. Locking the aperture in place was a breeze before this update showed up... though I'd admit tedious when start/stopping recording frequently. Locking the aperture disables the IS - which sucks (at least on the 70-200 2.8). Expecting exceptional sound from any video recording device without using an additional mic is expecting too much. Spend $150 on an external mic and you'll do just fine twitter
