I'm looking for the Shallowest sharpest lens at what f number, you have ever used excluding the tanks 300 400mm stuff.
I know the 85 1.2 and 135L are some of the favorites but I really want something like a 50mm or even wider.

Judging from various benchmark tests of that lens, I'd say that many people agree that it is indeed tack sharp. For instance, check out this review of 11 different 50mm lenses (including the Canon 50mm 1.2L): EOS 500D, Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM, Sigma AF 70mm f/2.8 EX DG macro

I'm sure it would impress 1d MKiin, 2x XTi /w grips, 24-105mm f/4L IS, 200mm f/2.8L II, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8, Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, 430EX, 550EX, Kenko Pro300 1.4X TC
