We went to Loisaba about two months ago and were lucky to see a large pack of wild dogs. I'll put the images here across two posts for those on slower Internet connections:

Fabtastic! I watched with interest the scenes in the "Planet Earth" series highlighting a hunt undertaken by these magnificent hounds! Thy are amazing to watch..

Wonderfull shots here.. of one of the rarer predators.

They are much smaller than Hyena and the behavior is very different.
It's really only the round ears and mottled coat that give that look of similarity.. no these fellas are closer in relation to your pet Labrador than they are to a Hyena ( much closer, really! )
Hyena are not dogs at all... these are.
