I am shooting some product and want to get some reflections. What would be the best thing to use for something like this? Right now I have been using an old piece of glass from a frame. Thanks for your help!!

one thing i've done is to make the reflection in PS, but that doesn't work for everything. :)

I bought a couple of pieces of reflective board recently that works really nicely. Just got it yesterday and took a couple of shots this evening but have not had a chance to upload them yet.

So, you want reflections over the image & not in the product?

If you want them in the product, then look at the knife & Browning threads here:

Nice shots Mauro! I like a lot of your jewlery shots especially. Are you using the 50 f2.5 on a lot of them? I'm guessing wide open as the depth of field is usually very narrow.

A piece of plexiglass of the appropriate size works well. Underneath it you can use black or white seamless, or any other color you desire. Using photoshop should be a last resort since creating the reflections is very time consuming if not nearly impossible except for anything with complex shapes.

Reflective poster board also works well and as a side benefit will give you some surface texture as well. Since the surface has texture as well, and you use that to show lighting effects such as adding a spot effect here. That can also be done with a product shooting table, but require another light source and would interfere with the product reflections.
