Im quite sad to hear it eats goats.... but snakes have to eat too. I like snakes, I like goats :S
ANYHOW, gorgeous animal. What type of snake is this? I know Boas get big but Im probably way off the marker.
Is this a snake you handle? I think they are such neat creatures.

Whoa intimidating shot. Are these things actually good pets like, do they pay attention to you like a cat would? Or are they just looking at you like your dinner.

I wouldn't want to handle that sucer if it eats goats.

I once saw a documentary on animal planet, about a week ago, in which they were speaking about Pythons that attacked the keepers.
This on python, about the size of this one ..maybe 12 feet or so, attacked the owner, and then coiled on him, and squeezed him till he passed out. Then it went for his helper, and tried to kill him also. It seemed as though the Python went into anger mode, and just attacked.

The keeper covered the snake with a blanket, but I guess the head was peaking through, and saw his hand. Then it grabed his hand, and didn't let go. and strated to coil around him... he was in some serious dodo at that point.

They ended up killing the snake, by stabbing it with a knife..

I tell you, not a job I want to have.

btw: excellent shot, with great DOF.

Great shot anyway. Bill

Nice retic. Long ago I had a F1 CB Baldogo Jampea, I wish I had room for a 10 - 12' snake these days as it was the most fascinating non venomous snake I've every worked with.
