He/she is sitting in one of our flower pots and just looking around. Can someone identify what kind of bird this is? I'm wondering if it's hurt.

Candor Goldmember More info | May 27, 2009 18:01 | #6 It looks like it just left the nest - maybe today. It's probably just resting. You may want to keep an eye on it but I'm sure it's ok. Are the parents around? They may still be feeding it.

I would watch and see if they come and feed him. Also..if you have any cats you might want to keep them indoors for the time being. Wish I could be more helpful...this seems like a common occurance this time of the year.

We'll leave jr alone, I haven't noticed mom around but we just found jr. No cats in the house, just a German Shepard. 5D & 30D...EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM/EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM/EF,100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM, 100mm Macro f/2.8 USM & 50mm 1.4.

You should see the parents return every so often with food. If you don't see the parent at all over the course of a day you might call a local wildlife rehabilitator. -Carl

The parents returned and took over. You might feed it yourself if they don't come back! It's a lot of fun! Steve
