BioSpark... I guess you did good by your edits. I just hope I see the same, I am just bit short going for the 50D in my "toy' founds as the wife puts it. And that is waiting until the middle of June. Maybe I'll get lucky and prices will drop again so I can just make it on the 50D, if not, then the 40D it will have to be.

Gotta ya Hyper, I see and understand what you have posted, I just don't see how I could have missed the Neg as a buyer, maybe because I never have given a neg feed back and the last time I bought something I just over looked that Neg icon. Sorry for the mislead on my part.

Never know really on price reduction. I'm sure it could drop. I would definitely ask though. Each time I would call back to get clarification they would help me out. I'd ask for Julio too. He really hooked me up and also gave me fantastic customer service.

Good luck all the same!

Well that is one thing I wanted you to check... 1 year warranty is bull, it is only 90 days for referb/recertified. 1 year warranty is for New.

But like you posted, you got the "2 year" extended, but 9 months less is 9 month less.

Let me guess, did you buy over the phone with the person that gave you that warranty info?

Please don't take what I am posting here as 100%, I could have been mislead when I bought my 30D from Adorama. All I can say for sure is one of us has been mislead.

Apparently, a recent change https://photography-on-the.net …hp?p=7996695&postcount=27

Well I guess I missed that... I was going by what was told to me when I got my 30D and also was confirmed with her post here https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=7768678&postcount=9 (I am sure I seen this statement else where with a earlier date)

But hey, things change and I for sure can't read all this forum ;) .

My apologies for the use of the word "Bull" and to the person I said was giving that info.

Thanks for setting me straight before I made a fool of myself "again".

I took no offense. I'm glad you pointed it out to me, it made me call the company. Because of it I not only got 50 dollars off, but they moved my shipping from 3-5 day to 3 day delivery. :) You can't beat that with a stick.

Indeed it is; I've just advised the Sales Director that some of his 'phone reps don't appear to be up to speed on the changes.....

BioSpark, if you are unhappy and want to return it, just let me know, as it is clearly our fault for not ensuring the 'phone crew were on the ball.

Sincerely

Helen I think that was pointed (90days to 1 year) at me, because of my 30D and the 90 day warranty I was given, so I was the one misinforming most here. My 30D has been sold now, but I think I will be getting a 40d or 50D referb lens kit from you all. My problem is the 40D is 2 weeks away or the 50D is 6 weeks away, well unless there is a sell going to happen "Soon" ;) .

With all said, unless I am misunderstanding more then one post here.

I'm a bit confused now or maybe I'm just having a blonde moment (I'm blonde). Are you saying that recertified does have a one year warranty on them? Cause if it does have a one year warranty then Julio was well informed and let me know more then once.

Also, I couldn't be more pleased with your customer service. Julio was fantastic at getting me what I needed and also helped me out as far as getting the camera to me before I left on vacation. He also price adjusted the camera to fit the new selling price. Literally, when I say I couldn't be more pleased, I really mean it.

Please give Julio a pat on the back for me. Fantastic customer service and because of it, I'll do ALL my camera business with Adorama and also recommend them to any of my family/friends in the future.

Some have 90 days, but increasingly you will see them with a full year (it will always be stated on the website description).

I've passed on your feedback to Julio's manager, who I know will be delighted - thank you so much for taking the time to make a note of the service he gave you.

Helen,

Do you still put the condition quality on recertified items? I went back to look and didn't see it.

I wonder if you are confusing this with the gradings on used equipment? I don't recall that recertified items have ever been graded.

Oh. Ok! :) I was just reading and saw that there was an E grading and so on/so forth. Just wanted to see. ;) Thanks again!
