Went to Bristol for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals a couple weekends ago. Below are a couple of albums, and a few pictures I decided to post.

Why so much noise?

I don't know why, but I could hear "The Joker" asking that statement. "Why so serious?"

The 'fire' pictures from Friday nights late qualifying session are all really noisy. I was shooting with the 100-400L, so I was already handicapped for low light with f5.6. I was shooting all weekend near 1/120, and obviously had to bump the ISO for the exposure. I think next go around I'll either just settle with the 70-200L f2.8, or get a larger prime at f2.8. I like the shots....but the noise does kill them.
