Problem with 20D. Help please.

Got a good deal on 20D that couldn't pass. Camera body came in and everything fine. Only problem I have is it is set to file pictures in batches of 100, then creates a new folder and keeps the next 100 image on memory. I really don't like this arrangement and prefer the usual continous picture recording. How do I reset it? Manual didn't help. Any suggestions?

I just scanned through the menu on my 20D, I dont think you have a choice. I'd prefer it if my 50D and 5DMK2 had the option of 100 pics per folder.

Still have my 20D and that's the way the file system works, page 61 of the manual states the images are saved in a folder created automatically that can hold 100 images.

I'm not sure what you mean by "on memory". The first 100 pics go into a folder, a new folder is created, and the next 100 go into it, then another folder is created, and so on. All your images are saved on the CF card, just in different folders.

No Canon DSLR uses continuous saving. Some put 100 pics into a folder, others put 1000 into a folder. But once I have 1000 in a folder on my 30D it creates a new folder. My 300D put 100 in a folder, just like your 20D.

Yeah, that's how the 20D works. There is no way to change it.

It bugs me a bit too as I want everything in one folder, but it only takes a minute or two after downloading to drag and drop everything into one folder.

All Canons operate this way though, it's just that the later models use much bigger folders.
