I have not post here for ages . But well, I'm in need of advices again. I recently switched from CS3 to LR2 and it is a totally new world for me. Comments and/or edits will be appreciated on this recent shot of my nephew.

Beautiful shot! Which type of lens did you use for this? I am in the process of learning about photography and I bought a Canon Rebel XSI and am looking into getting a new lens.

5D + 70-200 f/2.8L @2.8

The 70-200 f/2.8L is a wonderful lens, and very versatile. It is razor sharp in a 20-mm circle (virtually the entire image) and the bokeh is delighting. I have 5 other lenses but this one is different. I have a very special relation to it, comparable to the relation between a sailor and his ship: trust, confidence, care, respect, and pleasure... I bought it 3 years ago, with my accumulated savings of the 2 previous years. So, this is 5 years I'm living with it now. 2 in my dreams, and 3 in my images.

About the use with the Rebel, I am afraid it will be too long. You may consider the 135 f/2 instead.
