Has anyone done any actual testing to see if SLI is worthwhile when using just windows/office apps/adobe apps?

SLi in office/windows is absolutely pointless unless you need more than two monitors. Adobe apps in CS4 have graphics acceleration, so you will see some improvement, though possibly not that much.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

I'm currently running 2 monitors and driver version 168(i think)
I know i need to upgrade to the latest.

with the 168 drivers I had a crapton of trouble getting 3-4 monitors working when not in SLI and couldn't do dualview when in SLI...

SLI is not used to run 2 monitors. A dual head video card will do that.

Don't waste your time and money on SLI if you are not gaming.

it will be more like none compared to non-sli. this hardware graphics acceleration thing is totally blown out of proportion. canvas rotating and zooming doesn't make those hardware work at all, even an ancient old card can do that job easily.

I understand that SLI isn't necessary for dualview, just a card with 2 outputs...

but I have 2 cards with a total of 4 outputs and I can't get 3 or mroe monitors to work correctly so I just have my 2 going lol
