Good advice. My Amex got nailed after I used it for an Amazon affiliate as well.

Nope. Just a Paypal account. Here is a link to the plug in which generates one time use CC #s among other features. --->https://www.paypal.com …l/NewPayPalPlugin-outside (external link)

Does the plugin automatically deduct from your checking or can you choose to automatically deduct from a CC stored on paypal?

It is the same as if you were to transfer funds, so however it is you have it set up. Mine is tied to my bank account with a CC as backup.

Just a side note. Do not overlook or disregard the very small charges on your statements that you don't think are legitimate. It is regular procedure for the crooks to send through very small charges initially to see if you are paying attention. Then, if those charges clear, you are hit with the larger charges.

Just saw a news blurb the other day re: "Foriegn Charges" that CC companies are charging because of the new CC laws passed.

If something is imported or shipped from overseas, it's probably subject to these new nickle and dime fees.

OK I don't work for Citibank but using their Virtual Account system you can specify how much your particular "Virtual Account" will be charged so nobody can charged you more.

Yeah. It is one of the reasons I still use them, aside from their ubiquity. I am not happy with some of their policies, but if you are familiar and know your way around them, then you can avoid a lot of aggravation.

Check with your bank or cc company. As mentioned earlier, a service that some provide now is a onetime use only number for internet purchases that ties into your account.

I believe it can only be used with a bank account. If someone knows another way please let me know.

Thanks,
dan
