Hi all,

Have converted a couple of portraits to b&w. Would appreciate any C&C.

Thanks

David

The second image is a little blown out for my taste, it leaves the shadows around her eyes a little ghoulish. If you toned that down a bit, I think you would have a very pleasing image. With the first image, a crop that showed a little more of her hair to the left might make for a more balanced image, but its still quite nice.

My other issue is having them posted right next to each other. On first glance, it looks like its a landscape shot with her growing out of herself.

Enough complaints, I like the shots.

I agree with Stickman on all his points. Tone down the harsh shadows in the photo on the right and it'll be a very nice shot.

Hey,

Thanks for the comments guys; much appreciated. The reqason they're next to each other is because that's how the message put them...and I don't know how to change it!!!

And I agree about the comments of the eye...it's interesting what you don't notice till someone points it out!

Yeah it's kind of nice to get more sets of eyes on a photo. They're both very good, but with a few subtle tweaks, they can be even better. Good luck.
