Ever heard of The Rasterbator (external link)? It's an awesome online tool where you can upload a photo and it will spit back a half-toned PDF version that you can print on many sheets of paper and hang on your wall to make one huge image.

You can download the free software to your PC also at the link above.

That's a cool site Claude. Do you know if you have to clip the edges off (since most printer don't print to the edge?

Yes, you'll have to cut the edges to make it fit.

Nifty, thanks Claude! I've done this in the past, but have always used Microsoft Visio - which produces lackluster results.

After trimming, how did you attach the pictures together? Tape? Dry mount?

I left a lip on one of the side and used two sided tape and regular tape on the back side.

I’ve used this program before too. But I really don’t like this technique. Rasterbator makes posters with big dots. Now I use this poster creator (external link) to print big images. It doesn’t change the input image and print it with high quality.
