24-70mm finally arrived!!

Well after almost a month of waiting, my 24-70mm finally arrived. It actually came last night but I didn't open it until this morning. I took a few test shots and the lens looks pretty darn sharp to me!

One thing that caused some concern at first was one corner of the lens box was dented (perhaps it was dropped, I don't know). The shipping box, on the other hand, was perfectly fine. Should I be concerned?? There is no damage to the lens and the pictures came out fine so I'm just looking for reassurance (a little OCD).

Congrats on your new lens. On my monitor the flowers are underexposure and soft but maybe is my eyes

Yeah I just took them in the shade and didn't bother about exposure since they were just test shots. The first picture I focused on the center so the petals should be soft. Hopefully you didn't mean all of them are soft.

I am using POS at work so I think is my monitor!

It is a great lens. Test it on some people too!

Yeah for sure. I probably won't have an opportunity for a shoot until next weekend so I shot a few things around the house for now.
I just wanted to post to get opinions from others so if there is a problem I can send it back now instead of later.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the box. they lens quality looks amazing! Worst case scenario, contact the seller and talk to them. but like i said, it looks like it takes great shots.

Yeah the corner of my 24-105 was creased, which i got today. i wasn't too worried. the images still look awesome. congrats on your purchase
