taken from an old set and hopefuly improved in photoshop, I would really appreciate as much honest C&C as possible, grown men are aloud to cry so unleash the hounds

looks a little soft and not a big fan of the black line going across on the bottom, kinda takes my attention away. how close was the light to your subject and the background from your subject?

the black line is the gutter of a car, lighting was screen right and left, roughly 45o each side, they were each about 5 meters away.

I agree with Ryan's comments--seems soft, and the car really hurts the shot. Is the second edit actually sharper? Hard to tell with a smaller image... but it does look better/sharper.

Thanks for your comments folks, the seconds shot I posted the smaller version as it did look sharper on flickr, not sure what's happened with the upload as they aren't that soft on the computer
