Yeah, the whole point is that you attach the lens (using the adapter) to the tripod not the camera. You get the parallax problems if you keep the camera fixed and move the lens, as when you shift not only are you changing the direction the lens is looking in (if you know what I mean), but also the point it is looking from. When you keep the lens fixed but move the camera, you are changing where the lens is looking, but not the point it is looking from. Therefore foreground and background objects do not appear to move in relation to each other, and the images can still be stitched together. Without using the adapter, in practice I found in most shots the parallax was so slight (due to all objects being a similar distance from the camera) it didn't affect the overall image unless you zoomed in to 100%. It was only when I took a panorama with some objects close to the camera and others far away that it was impossible to stitch the images together. I haven't used the filter kit so can't help with that. Here's a pic of the adaptor in use if it helps. It's got 2 blocks that you mount the tripod quick release plates onto can be removed. ![]() 20140214_231417 you still getting on OK with this mate? Thinking about ordering one myself. Unless I go to a local fabricators and see if they can knock up something similar A7R / 85mm f1.8 / 50mm f1.4 / TS-E 24mm f3.5L ii

Does the adapter leave any marks or damage on the lens? its a gonjoo apadtor. You can find them on facebook A7R / 85mm f1.8 / 50mm f1.4 / TS-E 24mm f3.5L ii

I haven't actually taken it off since I put it on but I don't think it's marked it. I asked the guy who sells them about marking the lens before I bought it and his response was: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackhenriques/

Agreed on not transporting on the tripod; I tend to store all my gear in a backpack and/or camera bag even between short trips and, for the TS-E 17, I put it back into zero positions and lock both mechanisms. With the Fotodiox kit I have, it's heavy, and if the lens isn't locked, it will freely weigh down the lens movements which I always worry will damage them. So far so good. No problem mate. https://www.flickr.com/photos/jackhenriques/
