^^^^Damn, Eddie, you're making me consider spending my Xmas money on the TS-E 24mm rather than a FF camera. (Of course I'd still have buy some talent somewhere, alas.)

Dec 04, 2012 13:02 | #2033 2 more days till mine arrives. My biggest problem is going to be finding time and worthwhile subjects to photograph being stuck in the middle of flat boring central North Carolina. A well corrected photo of my muddy neighborhood pond or my home isn't anything to get excited over haha. https://www.instagram.com/nd14411

One of these will be a short drive away. flickr

Less obvious: take inspiration from one of my Flickr contacts, an expert in the mundane, many from rural NC: http://www.flickr.com/photos/captainflexible/ Raleigh is pretty close. I might be able to get up there soon. Thankfully I have a vacation period during christmas, so I'll be heading to a Ski resort and Ranch in Northern Michigan for a while, pretty excited for that. Shortly afterwards I have a winter backpacking trip planned out to the Smoky Mountains, another great trip coming up. https://www.instagram.com/nd14411

M_Six Cream of the Crop More info | You want flat and boring, come out to central IL. We do have some spectacular sunsets, though. I could see putting this lens to good use there. Mark J.

My wife and I are having our first baby in May, rather inconveniently a time when I won't even be home thanks to work, they might get me home for a 8-hour timeframe for the birth, then right back away again. Anyhow, in short this means I spend almost all my weekend time looking for baby stuff haha. Super exciting in its own way, but without the actual baby, it isn't very photo-friendly. Best of luck with the baby/work situation, and finding time to shoot. flickr
