This guy seems to think you should focus foreground & then tilt background.

But other web pages have said the complete opposite.

It's all very confusing. I'll have to practice more to see if I can work it out

I've asked in this thread before, with little success, but here goes again:

Anyone have any input on using this lens with the Canon 2.0x Extender III ?

Here's one I took recently.

My problem is that I don't write things down and the EXIF doesn't record the fact that an extender is used. But I have used both the 1.4x III and the 2x III successfully.

Astronomers have calculated there are 17 billion earth sized planets in our Milky Way alone.

“The Cosmos extends, for all practical purposes, forever. After a brief and sedentary hiatus we are resuming our ancient nomadic way of life. Our remote descendants, safely arrayed on many worlds though through the Solar System and beyond, will be unified by their common heritage, by their regard for their home planet, and by knowledge that, whatever other life may be, the only humans in all the Universe come from Earth.”
― Carl Sagan

whoa! bw!
did you 'paint' the trees with flashlight or are they picking up some other light source?

If it's in focus, it's pornography, if it's out of focus, it's art.

Did the last one out forget to turn them off? ;)

Seriously, as soon as I saw those stars, I knew you had to be a neighbour. An awesome shot that reminds me of the nights when I was working remote. I miss those skies now I'm in the city.

Big dreams, small wallet.

That's fantastic. Finally! I'm most interested in the 2x III, knowing it would offer me a 48mm landscape lens. I assume you haven't used the lens for outdoors with the 2x on?

I'm curious in hearing more of your comments using either of these extenders with the TSE - any tips you can offer would be helpful before I take the plunge and order myself an extender.

It was very subtle movement and I had plenty of overlap, so the waves just blended together.

I'm afraid my pano pales (literally and otherwise) in insignificance compared with shadowblade's, but here it is anyway.

And I have a question. I used a .9 GND filter but I realize that the left and right shots probably only needed .6 or even .3. What happens to the stitching (I'm using PS6) if you use different filters for each shot as the crossover won't match exposure-wise? What do you guys usually do?
