Haha unfortunately I don't live near any of these places. These recent ones are about 3,000 miles from home :)

I'm dreading the end of this trip!!

I don't blame you Rob. I thought it was toast after a few days here. I guess the water washed the lubricant off it and the shift was completely seized up. I used some liquid wrench and its back in perfect working order. I almost had a heart attack though :)

For those of you doing panos with this lens, how do you avoid the vignetting effect in the 'outer' shots?

I overexposed a frame and blend it in post. Sometimes it's unavoidable though so I just frame it taking into account that I will probably crop that area off.

^^^^^^

Great shot! I can't wait to try mine out next weekend. Is that a pano or a single shot? I should go down to Pebble Beach sometime!

I just read your blog post, you got some really good shots of nor-cal in a short amount of time!

Too bad the sunset wasn't too great for you at the Sutro Bathes, here's a shot I took there a couple months back (with just my 17-40L) from the same spot you took yours.

Genius! Never thought of doing that before, will be giving it a try. Normally i just leave the vignette in on a 3 shot pano

It's funny you posted Arob. I saw your shots from Marshall's beach and that's where I was planning on going :) Hopefully I can get back to the area again. So much stuff to shoot. 4 days was not enough time :)
