BTW, the "trash can" was actually a break in the concrete wall that is an entry point to the performing arts center. However, for the sake of the image I agree it is best removed. Even those knowledgeable with the building probably wouldn't notice.

Great shot Shadowblade, I love the colors.

I did three trips almost non-stop to the Yukon, Glacier National Park and the Columbia River Gorge and I'm now starting to go through the images. This one is from Glacier NP along the St. Mary river.

Just got this lens and Lee Foundation kit with a .9 GND.
You all had a lot to do with this lens purchase. The shots on this thread are fantastic.
This lens is fantastic.

Trying to decide on “Little” or “Big Stopper” for next purchase.
I know shooting situations vary but do you think it would be
more versatile to have The Little Stopper & .9 GND for a 6 Stop/9 Stop combo
or The Big Stopper & .9 GND for a 10 Stop/13 Stop combo.
Like I said, shooting situations vary and I will eventually get both “Stoppers,”
just don’t know which to get first. Looking for your trusted opinions.

I have a 10 Stop B&W round filter that I use with my “normal”
non TS-E lenses, so I’m familiar with what to expect from a 10 Stop
and know the 13 Stop combo mentioned above would be very dark indeed.

Little stopper for definite. I own both and whilst the big is great for adding drama with cloud movement etc you are pretty much restricted to using it in the brightest of conditions. If you use it at sunset or sunrise you can quickly find yourself needing rediculous shutter speeds. (Not saying you can't use it during these times)

With the little stopper it allows you to get that drama at darker conditions/time of day without the extreme shutter times. For an example I took a shot the other night at sunset and it was a 2 minute exposure with the little stopper , a 0.9 grad and the 4x4 cpl. If I had used the big stopper that exposure would have been 32 minutes!

(It would actually have been 64 minutes as my big stopper is 11 stops)

I already have. Will probably get Big Stopper in the future
but will start off with the Little Guy first.

rented the lens during a rainy weekend; had to get creative. practiced in the grocery store hand held...not bad sharpness even at F5.6. don't rent it unless you plan on buying it!

I have wanted to see the Northern Lights for years and this trip to the Yukon made it a reality. We got lucky with the conditions and saw the Aurora our first night and it turned out to be the most impressive of the entire trip. The light display was crazy with the aurora spanning the entire length of the sky, dancing and blazing for hours. It was truly awe inspiring and just looking at the pictures now, while they cannot really do it justice, still manages to bring back those feelings I had when I saw it the first time.

This was taken with my 24mm tilt shift, which I love. I have infinity dialed in and can nail it every time by lining up the two marks I have made on the lens. So after taking the camera out of my bag, I turned on my headlamp, found my infinity mark on the lens, and starting taking pictures. It turns out that when I took the camera out of the bag I must have bumped the tilt knob and I didn't realize it until almost the very end of the night. So yeah, 95% of my shots are out of focus. There was much more impressive displays of light than I have in this photo but all those shots are just soft and fuzzy digital crap. So very frustrating. I think my brain is like that lens, it also seems to go soft and fuzzy at times...
