Stumbled across this photo I took of our old flat (dead centre of frame) and knew I had to go back and re-process it for myself.

Tiny little substandard flat (has character, though) - we paid £550 a month for the four years we were there (2010-2014), but the owner did some minor refurbishment work and now it's going for a solid £900 a month! Absolutely crazy...

Still, better than the £1,700 a month for my 450 square foot flat in London!

Don't come to NYC for cheap anything.
But what better place for a Canon 24mm TS-E. :-)
Using a tripod there can be challenging though.

He's lucky then and probably got in before the latest boom. The SiliValley techies moving into SF have driven rents (and housing prices) sky high.

no doubt, my two trips to NYC were anything but cheap! Chicago isn't going to be easy on the wallet either...its amazing how expensive stuff is now...I wish I was taking a TSE with me to Chicago...but will have to wait for my OBX trip later this year...

IIRC, I didn't need to. It was taken early in the morning, no direct sun, it was overcast and foggy. ISO 50 and being able to use f/16 with no worry of fuzzy edges let me shoot 10 seconds with no filters.

TRhoads, do you tilt your shots to utilize maximum dof for focus? Your photos are just sharp from corner to corner so I was just wondering :)

nope, no tilt was used. The amazing thing about the TSE 24II is that it is incredibly sharp, all the way to f22, and that is because of what part of the image circle it uses. I use Live View when focusing, and pan around the frame and try to do my best to find a focus setting that gives me the best DoF in all parts of the image. It takes some time, but makes it worth it in the end.
