I normally don't shoot at night but a famous photographer came to Edinburgh and wanted to do some night time shooting so I rolled with it.

Unfortunately these were taken a day before my shiny new 5DSR arrived. I look forward to getting out with it soon though.

I'm in love with this camera and lens combo.

The 5DSR and 24 were a fantastic combo for me. Resolution for days and this lens delivers

Absolutely ... please don't stop! It's great to see what you can do with this amazing lens. I have shot nothing worthy of posting yet with my own copy ... ... That doesn't mean I don't value the motivation that comes from seeing what others can achieve using it.

David.
Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

Thanks guys. Not entirely convinced - I posted a new thread in another section but haven't received a single reply.

In older days it would have gone 3 pages.

I'd love to see more too. Especially of Edinburgh. Such a beautiful city.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

I do not have a Canon lens TS-E 24 mm. Can I get the same result with Canon WA Zoom 16-35 mm and Photoshop?
BTW top pictures from Edinburgh!

Not sure why, but I've noticed the same thing. And it's not just here. There seems to be a general lack curiosity and participation.

But, what's the alternative? To stop posting altogether? Or maybe try different forums?

No real alternative for me, including other forums - I've learned a lot from this place and tried (via this thread as an example) to reciprocate.

Funny enough, as soon as I mentioned whether or not to stop posting, the thread I started three weeks ago suddenly gets responses

Not exactly - although if you shoot at 24mm then you're bound to get something very similar. You just won't get the movements associated with a tilt/shift lens.

No. you can get similar tilt effects but I found the shift very useful and I use the lens a lot more than I thought I would.

No,

- with TS-E you can shift to correct the perspective.
- the stars look different with 4,0/16-35 due to 9 blades construction.
