Good to see some real world experimentation with tilt. Can you share details, was this horizontal tilt for example?

thanks.
the aim was to get the centre fountain with the faces in focus, and blur the walls. in portrait orientation I rotated the lens to get a vertical tilt. Set to full tilt and fiddled with focus and aperture and angle of the shot to get the straightest line of focus.

Dance macabre frescoe at the church of the holy trinity in Hrastovlje, Slovenia. Stitched panorama of the full frescoe, made harder by the pillar in front of the frescoe. I stood on each side of the pillar and took three photos landscape format- full shift to the left/no shift/full shift to the right, then combined the six photos in lightroom. All handheld. The frescoe is 15th century and shows the villagers that all people, young and old, rich and poor are taken for the final roll call.
