Man, I wish my 100-400 took shots like my 70-200 does. :)

Thanks Sharon. These guys are such moochers, I figure they'd probably go extinct if not for McDonands.

LOL...There are probably as many gulls hanging out at Mc D's as there are on the beaches around here.

What don't they eat Ken... I live close to Lake Superior and have a Herring Gull that flies in for "Kibbles & Bits" dog food... loves it. Which 70-200 do you have?... that is a very nice shot.

Yep, like the mountain jays and crows, they eat just about anything that doesn't move and some things that do. :)

it's the 2.8 - my first telephoto. I love it but just doesn't have the reach needed for most bird shots. (it's perfect for fastpitch softball though!)

Yeah, he's probably got Guacamole dip over by the picnic tables.

Ha... Funny!

But we don't have any kind of gulls here... and that's a nice shot.

I like it,

Kenn

Great shot, could be a tiny bit brighter, or maybe it's my monitor.

Thanks Pat. You may be right. I had other exposures where the water/background was brighter, but liked the contrast on this one.
