Brokerage fees. I believe, as long as you don't ship ground, they are included in the shipping costs. Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

By the time I received the package, I had to pay for about 150 CAD which is more than 10% of the total cost for dutiy or tax I cant remember.... heck I was excited and didnt even ask but handed out my cradit card....

Kasrielle Goldmember More info | Jun 01, 2009 13:32 | #6 I bought a lens from B&H a few months ago. It was just under $1000US which at the time was about $1250CA. I had to pay an additional $58CA to UPS, but that was just the GST. Even with a lousy conversion rate (it's better now) and taxes the lens cost $300 less than listed in Canada...

Yep I figured even I had to pay for the extra fees it still cost less if I'm buying it from my local shop.

UPS has terrible tracking to Canada. Terrible... USPS/Canada Post has never lost an item of mine. UPS has lost 3. UPS and USPS/Canada Post have their strengths and weaknesses. Know when to use either. There are ZERO brokerage fees for the UPS Expedited option that Henry is referring to. I'm in Alberta and have never had a problem with them, and tracking is fine. Bob
