few tips?

find shade and use it, or choose about 2hrs befoe sundown for the shoot to start. you'll love the results...

Agreed, the sun looks pretty harsh.

Also, and maybe it is just me, but this doesn't look much like an engagement shoot (except for the last photo). It looks more like two good friends, hanging out. Perhaps that's what they were going for, but it seems too casual.

Totally agree with you about the Sun...

but, the couple didn't really give me much of an option...i only had about a 2hr window during the day, that the couple was giving me, and it was dead in the afternoon... there wasen't alot of shade up in those hills...(couples special spot)

i should have found some shade though..

Third and fourth was the best imo. The first two have too much sun on them
