Dear all,
In this photo, I tried to set the apperture small (f12 or something) but still, there was not much sunray on the photo. Is that because I was using a "kit" lens but not an L lens? Thanks for help

In your photo, the sun was hidden through the fabric or woven wall. You'd have had more of a chance if the sun was cleanly shown by itself.
