hey all,

I wanted to share a couple photo's from an engagement shoot that i had a ton of fun doing for a couple of friends. We shot at the Brooklyn Bontanic gardens which are beautiful in the spring. The conditions were pretty bright and i had a tough time finding even lighting. I chose not to use flash because the park had strict rules on no professional wedding or portrait photography without a permit ( I was told that permit was $250 ). We ended up doing a run and gun kinda shoot. There are a ton of things that i can think of doing differently in hindsight. Tell me what you think

Great set. I probably wouldn't have noticed any lighting issues if you didn't mention it. You did a great job working in spotty light.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I was actually nervous that they wouldn't like the outcome but now i feel more confident that they will.

The PP on photo # 3 is all LR adjustments. The photo was originally on the hot side with the light comming through the cherry blossoms being blown out. here are most of the settings.

exposure -1.10
recovery 100
fill 20
black 10

Brightness/contrast +80/+50

Vibrance/saturation +40/-89

then i toyed with curves , some split tonning and then finally the camera calibration to make things pop to taste.
