Sorry to be a pain, but forum rules are that images are kept to 1024 pixels to the longest side. That's partly to save disk space on the servers, and partly so forum users with smaller monitors can view it comfortably in more browsers without using scrollbars. You should really resave your work and edit the post above, substituting the smaller version.

Re the photo: the verticals are leaning badly because you've pointed your camera upwards rather than holding it level. There are distracting elements: the light pole, building at right, rope at bottom left, red car crossing the frame's edge at left. There's relatively little dynamic range in the shot: it looks tone mapped (a technique for reducing contrasts, often used in HDR). I assume that's because it is. The castle is the main potentially interesting subject matter, but it's thrown dead smack in the centre: it's generally better to put the main subject off centre, balancing it with some secondary subjects/elements. There aren't really any effective lead in lines: everything runs across or up the picture. The sky looks noisy and blotchy (also typical of tone mapping), and the background mountains look drab compared to the vibrant greens in the foreground. That helps reinforce a sense of distance, but here the background is overwhelmed by the foreground as the difference in vibrancy combines with issues of angle and relative image area. You've cut into the vegetation running along most of the bottom edge of the frame in such a way that it looks incomplete and attracts attention downwards and out of frame.

Cheers, Tony

Xonacs welcome to POTN to start and don't worry about the large pic posting, it happens to all of us when we are new. For future reference, here is the forum rules and mostly all the info you should need for later posts.

In regards to this shot, I really like how vivid the colors are but my negative point is the lack of a main subject. I understand that it is more of a landscape shot, but my eyes just wonder aimlessly everywhere basically. Its very interesting to see how places in other countries look though in my opinion, and this shot definately captures that. Keep posting when you can.
