2007 Lotus Exige S

IMAGE: http://l3it3r.com/potn/potn-1-800.jpg

50mm on 30D
580ex and 430ex
RF Remote Trigger
(I know the back of the car is a bit soft - need to reshoot :( ) Quite a bit of PP.

28-135mm IS on 30D
580ex
RF Remote Trigger
(this was actually one of the last shots I grabbed because the 480ex batteries were toast - but I still like it, despite the darkside of the car!)

comments/suggestions?

Oh, and CS4 has horrible JPEG artifacts :( I will try to re-save them later. BW at request of owner.

Good 1st effort with strobes.
#1: Was this also against the wall? If you can put another flash high above it to put some highlights in the roof to better define the body, I'd like it better. OTOH, if you brought out the wheels a bit more, that would be nice, too. With 2 strobes, you could do both in another exposure & blend them together.

This really should be in the share section, so I'm going to move it.

Thanks for the comments

#1 was actually in the middle of a parking lot, not a garage. I'm working on getting some more lights and will be shooting this car again since it has great lines and catches the light in magnificant ways. There are a lot of things that I wish I had done differently now that I've seen the shots blown up on my computer - I will be using my laptop next time before I leave!

Here's a different edit of it showing the actual background (Attachment)

I like the concept but it is a little too dark for me

Beautiful!

I think you've done a great job of catching some of the very graceful lines.
It's a cool car to isoloate parts of, you can just take in small details and still get an understanding of the over all design.

Now stick a proper motor in it and get some shots on the track :)

The second shot is really nice. I'd probably like a little more detail on the side of the car but apart from that, great job.

Proper motor?! The thing already does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. The owner is taking it to get a flash and exhaust and expects to be closer to the 3.9 0-60 range  From my brief driving experience in this car, it's MUCH more entertaining to drive than any other sports car I've ever driven

OK, but remember I said you could do both in another exposure & blend them together? See post #13 in this, & the other links in the thread.

I've been experimenting with blending and HDR techniques, but in the end... I'm a lazy PP guy ;)
