Which lens would you want in the pit shooting a concert indoor or outdoor on 1.6 crop body and why? Thanks

Depends on how far you are. I would go for the 85mm on a crop. Good length and fast enough for me. 30mm would be too wide for me.

Yep, depends on the framing you want.
85mm is nice for tight shots, 30mm for half body or so.

stage setup/size
shooting preference
pit or not

Most show I shot pit or in front of stage. I am thinking of using it for pit work.

Might depend on the kind of music you want to shoot aswell. I usually prefer different kinds of lenses on different kinds of music.


I used to be Gebruikersnaam.
