A shot of a lonely poppy. I hope you like it.

Beautiful colors, John... I think it would be even nicer if the closest part of the flower was more in focus.

Thanks Karen.

Yes, unfortunately I was a little off focus on the front of the flower. It was kind of a quick shot, and I think I could have done much better if I had taken more time. I just liked the colors, and thought maybe no one would notice.

But then you came along. . . . . . .  . Just kidding!

I appreciate your comments.

Kind of like a bad penny, right? Can you try the shot again? The colors are beautiful!

I sure do wish I could try the shot again, but that's rather difficult. I took that on a trip to San Francisco, and though I'll love to, I don't plan on going back anytime real soon. . . . .

Don't expect any sympathy from me, John... after all, you live in Florida and have lots of exotic flowers to pick from. In CT, we're still waiting for leaves on trees! :D

Yes, but in the fall you have colors. We hardly have a fall. We have spring for 2 weeks, summer for about 6 months, and during that time, heat, humidity, mosquitos, summer storms, and . . . . . hurricanes. So, no sympathy?. . .  .

Karen got that one right John, beautiful colors ... and ruined by being out of focus :( Set up your tripod and shoot a Florida flower that has a nice DOF so we can give you some praise :) :D :D

We don't want you feeling bad all weekend!

Well, I must also agree, great colours, but out of focus.

I know Ken. I'll just have to do that. Actually, I'm doing a car show this weekend. I hope to get some shots from that. There probably won't be any of our Florida flowers there, but I'll see what I can do. Hopefully, I can get the cars in focus. . . especially mine. . . . . :D :D
