So my daughter is suppose to be napping but I hear what sounds like a party going on in her room. So I peek in her room to see what is going on. To my surprise she is completely naked. I quickly ran to grab my camera to take some photos!! I just got my 430 EXII and I am trying to learn about flash photography. How is the WB and Skin tone?? Please C&C is always welcomed!!!

It's ironic that we always fought nap time when we were kids and now I would kill for an afternoon nap.

Nice shots. She is showing real happiness in the first one. The second one looks like you just told her play time is over.

The shots look a little overexposed. I won't comment on WB because my monitor isn't calibrated.

Thanks for your comments. The original shots are not this light. I changed it in DPP and I was wondering the same thing about the exposure!

These are super cute! Love the piggy tails and I don't think they are over-exposed. I like the lightness of them.

However, here is one with the WB corrected in CS4....Do you think it is any better? Not sure..I think I like the original better.

Thanks Maureen!!

I'm not going to change the exposure yet. I'd like to see what others think about the exposure.

I like your edit better!!!I do think what you did looks great!! What steps did you take in CS4 to get the photo to look like that??

If its a high key image the exposure is bang on for the style. In fact I'd be tempted to crop it tight, losing the blue and much of the other tones and go for something even closer to pure high key.

What a fantastic and adorable shot. Kudos for being fast enough to capture a usable shot in a very short period of time.

Thank you. I tried a tighter crop. I like it too.

All I did was do into curves and hit the Auto button ;)

Love the crop!
