I had never attempted taking photographs after sunset...... until last night.

The fourth one, then the first one are my favorites. The others are very good, but too many star trails for my eyes. How did you get the focus spot on if it was so dark?

How did you get the focus spot on if it was so dark?

A notch back from infinity focus on the Sigma 10-20mm with a reasonable aperture will give you pin sharp results at ISO200. That and a whole lot of luck ;)

I like the composition of the last one, but not sure if I like the star trails.

That's the drawback for doing long exposures at night :lol:

I know what you mean though. Maybe next time do a couple of bracketed shots and bland them.
