I like the water droplets on #2, I use Photobucket to host my shots. How come #3 isn't showing, it's the best one.

Only 2 attached files yes but you can have up to 8 files displayed if they are hosted elsewhere.

Welcome to the forum - nice series of pics. Rather like #3

I'm no expert with a P&S in macro mode but one of the properties of them is they give rather good DOF compared to a DSLR. This can be either good eg for getting all of an insect in focus or bad because it can be difficult to get good subject isolation from the background. So I'd just do a lot of practice with it and learn how to use the DOF or how to minimise it (by using AV mode with the lens wide open).

The chances are that if he/she doesn't know DOF stands for Depth of Field then he/she probably doesn't know what DOF is. oObie-noobie: you see how the background is blurry; and you see the front is also blurry, the bit in the middle that is in focus between the front and rear blur; that's your Depth of Field. Usually with macro unless you have a small-ish aperture setting or you combine several shots in to one the DOF (the bit in focus) will be quite shallow compared to say a landscape shot/infinity shot.
