Hi all. Its been a few weeks since i last visited. I have been real busy lately as things have really been picking up on the professional front.

I have hooked up (regularly paying gig) with a local south beach (miami,fl) fashion/lifestyle magazine and it looks like its going to be a fantastic launching pad to my efforts of going full time photog. real convenient as i live in south beach.

I am shooting exactly what i want to shoot! :D the mag promises to take me to all kinds of interesting places and force me to learn (trial by fire) just about every type of photography imagineable (from product to architectural/interior to food and so on). Ill be attending the Fashion Week of the Americas expo in May with full press access so i am super stoked.

Anyway the reason for my post is actually unrelated to any of my upcoming shoots. but more of a gear question . . .

I have the Alienbees B800's and I am looking for a wireless solution. These units come equipped with flash triggered slave servos (follow the leader). I am looking at hot shoe mounted IR units and was wondering if that counts as flash light to the slave servos. or do i need a dedicated IR sensor attached to the Bees?

If i do need an IR sensor I guess I would go with radio instead being that you have greater control using channels. also i accidentally bought the RT unit for my L-358 so i could use it at that point.

If you gots the L358 w/RT I would recommend buying a couple of PocketWizard Multimax's. Buy them as receivers (ie one less than you need) since the L358 works as a transmitter (fire mechanism). The Multimaxs can be EITHER transmitter, receiver, or both (receive then transmit).
