I haven't used one but it seems like a really nice modifier http://flickr.com/photos/eduardofrances/

I had spoken with Marc Gottula, Hensel's US distributor/rep back in early April about this small parabolic umbrella. The only useful tidbit I can interject into this thread is that there's a strong likelihood that a somewhat larger version of the Hensel parabolic umbrella will be introduced this fall. This in response to early user feedback that 32" is just too small for many applications.

I don't think so: The flash head in the Elinchrom points out as opposed to firing in like with the Hensel umbrella; the Elinchrom is larger, deeper and silver, so between the diameter, depth and interior finish there will be a different qualilty of light between the the two; the Elinchrom is more versatile as it can be used with 2 baffles, 1 or none and can be used for a greater number of applications. The Hensel looks like a nice mod for quick headshots or 1 person portraits or for fill.
