I'm sensing that you are not being sincere.

Wha...? Moi? Not sincere?!? I am wounded. *clutches chest and moans in pain*

I love peaches but can't stand the hairy skin. My wife peels them for me. She so good to me.

I concur completely. That whack skin really wigs me out!

 A little fur on your peach will not hurt you. It sort of mats down when you wash it. I bet all the good peach stuff is in the skin anyhow:p You can always just get Nectarines. They are close.

Forgot to tell you my, I can't believe you just did that, story of the weekend. Saturday there was a parent that kept coming over to our table and watching the slide show of some of the shots that will be on the CD. After their child performed in the evening show, they came up with a P&S and snapped a shot of our picture on the monitor. Never asked permission and of course didn't order a CD? What evah, I hope the shutter speed was fast and they have a big honk'n line through the picture.

Did you tell them they just violated your copyright and you were going to sue if they didn't delete the picture?

HERE (external link) is an inexperienced guy picking up his $39,000 Ultra Classic.

And THIS (external link) is just crazy poor riding !!!!

And THIS (external link) proves that if you are an idiot things will catch up with you in the end

As long as I've been riding, I've encountered all of these guys. In most cases it's that volatile mixture of alcohol and testosterone.

We've had a slight spike in motorcycle accidents and fatalities in the last couple of years that I attribute to what I'm calling the "baby-boomer mid-life crisis" syndrome. It's usually a 50-60 something male riding a brand new Harley Davidson.

My theory is that these are guys whose kids are grown and they have bit of money to spend. They go out an buy a fancy Harley and crash it within the first six months because they either have never ridden before and are too macho to take a rider course or they haven ridden in 30 or 40 years and their skills have deteriorated.

Can't be... that says that it's odorless.

Nifty gadget though... and worth looking into. Hmmm.
Thanks!

It's fine until you lift the lid...

Had one in my yard in NY....the soil there is very nice gravel. The doggie septic tank worked well.

The first house I had here in NC also came with one...soil here is mostly clay...the doggie septic tank didn't work so well...

Woolburr wrote in post #8114278 (external link)
In nice gravel soil....it works 100% as promised...the one at my house in NY has been in use for 20 years now and still works flawlessly. The same can not be said for the one jammed in the clay here in NC...plugged full and totally non-functional in no time at all.

I think that's the problem I've run into... clay soil and the fact I didn't dig the hole deep enough. I've stopped using it for now and am trying to flush it out so I can pull it up and maybe start over. For the time being I've gone back to the dumping the waste in the trash each week.

Uh huh....yeah, right....sure you are. :p
I don't believe you this time either. You love the entertainment value given by these nitwits.

That's the only reason I go over there...

There are many, many great guitarists. One of the top ones whether you like his music or not was Jimi Hendrix. I think my top 5, in no particular order, would be.

Jimi Hendrix
Eric Clapton
BB King
Jeff Beck
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Carlos Santana & Kirk Hammett (Metalica) would be close behind, followed by many others.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #8115213 (external link)
Another guitarist who does not ever get rated good that I like lots, one who is very adaptable to different styles is Mark Knopfler. I remember when he played in concert here as a back-up guitarist alongside Clapton. That was some fantastic guitar playing to see live. Knopfler kept a fairly low profile, as it was Clapton's show, but they did a fantastic 30 minute encore that was almost all knopfler/Dire Straits music. One of the best concerts I have seen.

Three of my favorites are Roy Clark, Mason Williams and Don Felder.

Afternoon folks :D

Morning, I am leery of the 5D. It was purchased off ebay and the AF points seem to not work well. Poster wrote about buying it for 750 and now wants 950 but to my knowledge hasn't had it repaired.

I'd stray away from the one with questionable AF points.

BTW.. Just got notified that my loving wife just caught a monster for me. A wood spider about the size of an old fashion silver dollar, not the little ones they have today. He's chilling in my bug terrarium just waiting for me tonight. So, gonna have to put up with a few spidey macros.

Cool....can't wait to see some shots.

Extended cab... I will take some pictures today if I have the chance.

You better stop talking about food like that or you will get an unexpected visit.

Nice. :D

Let me know at least 12 hours ahead of time.....that's how long it takes to smoke a brisket nice and tender!

be back later... gotta go get Louie. They decided that they want a smaller dog.
So he'll be going to CA tomorrow morning.

Bummer....hope someone takes him in CA.

I still struggle with this but maturity or something may be helping. There are way to many stupid people in the world to bother trying to correct them.
I hate the 100-400 argument that it is a "tricky" lens that must be used a certain way under certain conditions. I have seen good copies and bad copies. If you can only use it at one focal length and aperture setting in certain light I am convinced you have a bad copy. Spending $1500 on a zoom that only works in one spot is silly. This reminds me I need to send my piece of cwap 1-400 back, again.

What happened to the lens this time?

OK, pay no attention to the LR challenged woman in the corner. All is well now.

Good to hear...what took care of it? I was ready to guide you through the steps of assigning drive letters just in case you did not do that yet.

Off to the store for a bit.

Crissa you asked about John's strappage. Yeah, I think, maybe, I dunno. He explained it to me but I forget. It works well though. I would probably never go back if I tried a system like that but honestly I have carried three bodies and always carry two, with just straps with no problems. I like to be able to quickly set my equipment down as was documented a few times I believe.

Thanks Bobert, but in general it helps to remember what each of your EHD's are called in case you are looking for files on one that isn't even the drive you should be looking on.

That being said, I think I'm gonna get a 1Tb external and dump both of my current 500's onto it then wipe them and start over again...

Don't know why this one didn't quote....but hopefully they used a flash...and there is a big glare on the shot

Oh, and BTW.....I forgot an ingredient for the whisky steak recipe....add: 1 cup of oil to the recipe. I edited the post, but didn't know if you had printed it already.
