Well, it is slowly finding lost files. I sure hope they are the ones I am missing. It was our day with Becky heading up the coast, and a bit of the next day as well.

Random question.....I took some pictures of my guy with his car. Didn't use a CPL. Got lots of reflections on glass.

Would the CPL have helped?

The news brought to you by Ick.

Police Chief blames knuckleheads for vandalism after Lakers win championship. (external link)

I checked to be sure. In LA I found idiots, potheads, lots of morons, transvestites and narcissists but no knuckleheads. I think they should get their facts straight.

Oh I'm glad it's finding them!

Got my fingers crossed. It does not show anything while it is working but does say it found 33 files so far. Still has 36 minutes to go.

There's an 8 year old blues guitar prodigy in Wisconsin named Tallan Latz. He continues his second grade education, but the state has stopped him from playing certain venues due to child labor laws.

JJ, the Caveman thing is because the Oregon Caves are near Grants Pass. Their HS mascot is the Caveman. Everything there is about cavemen. :D

(Sorry, I must not have hit the quoter)

A quiz for photographers about photographic accessories:

A. Hats:

1. Meh. Take 'em or leave 'em. I've worn them at times, but it's not all that important. 1 point.
2. Oh, heck yeah. Essential. I have different hats for different settings. Floppy, ball cap, fedoras, driver's caps, you name it. 2 points.
3. No way. Never. People who wear hats all the time are dorks. 3 points.

B. Vests:

1. I can see their use, but I've never been too interested in them. 1 pt.
2. I love 'em. I have everything in my vest. It's so handy. 2 pts.
3. You gotta be kidding me. You'd never see one on me. It's embarrassing. 3 pts.

C. Nikon:

1. I'm a Canon person. To be honest, I don't know that much about Nikon. 1 pt.
2. Nikons are good cameras. Very comparable to Canon products. I personally like Canon better, but I have good friends that shoot Nikon. No problem. 2 pts.
3. Oh, c'mon. Get serious. I will kick you in the neck with a large shoe. 3 pts.

D. Bird Photography:

1. Ooo, I'm interested, but I've never got the hang of it. 1 pt.
2. I have a number of great shots of birds. I find it a vital part of my portfolio. 2 pts.
3. Oh, euphoria! I love to shoot birds! I could spend all day on a bird shoot, any time of year. 3 pts.

4-6 points: You're doing great. You have some room to grow in your photographic experience, but the potential is there!

7-10: You seem like a rational, well balanced and well dressed photographer. The world is your oyster.

11-12: Hi Chris. :D

Dood. :| Really? Wow. This is just so tragic. You need a quiz to figure out these things? Sad. :p

I don't think it will keep the glass from showing the reflection of something but it will keep the light glare from shiny/chrome parts from flaring.

That is the bigger (than 1 kid) issue of the story. How many other parents are now going to pour a ton of money and time into a kid that doesn't have the ability to play the sport or the instrument. To many parents want their kid to be the next star. This is why we have baby and toddler beauty pageants. Don't even get me started on that one.

But people have this same conversation every time a young star comes along. Sometimes it works out like Sidney Crosby. Sometimes it doesn't like Ryan Leaf.

There i a big difference from one kid who is exceptional and another kid who's parents are pushing for it to happen and that line is exceptionally gray. But ya know, if it doesn't work out, who's to say you can't go back to school. Or maybe do what many of the top level skaters and gymnasts do, get a tutor. There are other ways to get an education.

Most definitely.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
