Good luck with that.

Clearly sarcasm is involved.

Can I cry on your shoulders?

Remember Sam? The Great Dane/Lab mix? He was adopted from the shelter while Tevin and I were there taking photos before we left for vacation.

I loved Sam.. he was gorgeous, and sweet, and just one of those dogs that you instantly love.

The lady brought him back while we were on vacation. She said that her other dog didn't get along with him very well.

I saw him back when I went to the shelter Friday, and wanted to take him out and play with him. I felt so bad that he was brought back. But there were 10 dogs to take out and photograph, and I didn't have time to take him out.

They euthanized him yesterday.  I'm crushed. inconsolably so.

Oh Cat, I'm so sorry! :( Why in the world wouldn't they give him another chance if it was the lady's other dog who didn't get along with Sam?!?!

They put down several dogs yesterday to make room. He was a returnee, so he got the ax. They put down Titan (the mastiff) and Brian (the staffordshire) just because they were 'bully' dogs. They'd only been there a short time.

Gosh I HATE this part. I feel so utterly completely helpless.

Sorry, I didn't mean to bring the mood down here. I was going to cry on Wade when I got home this morning, but he's at work already, and all the kids are sleeping. :(

Dang, that sucks.

I know your heart is aching but you can't save them all. Just think of all the good you ARE able to do and hope that it's enough. (((((((((((((((cat)))))))))))))))

Nope...all my Canon RAW images have an .XLS file piggybacked to them...contains the metadata for the image.

Actually the file is an .xmp.

I think you should do it. With an extended stop over in Vegas.

Oh Cat, that is very sad news. :(

You have done so much for these animals, it requires many others to pitch in (especially on the birth prevention level) to make it a better world for all pets brought in to it.

Always remember the starfish. :D

Thanks guys. *snif*

Eric, little Roxy (the young black lab with the docked tail) was one that was taken from the shelter yesterday and sent to Ca this morning on the transport that Louie went on. If Helen Woodward center accepts her, she'll have a great chance at getting adopted soon.
If they don't accept her, she'll go into foster care till she's adopted.
But I wanted to let you know that she was one of the lucky ones that slipped past 'kill day' yesterday.

Sending you the biggest, longest cyber hug. If you want to call, DO! I'll be glad to listen, I'm folding fabric so its brainless. (like me ;) )
