Oh cool! Yep, I'm getting the f4 non-IS and am stoked! :D Price was right, trust the seller.... ;) Can't wait to play, but it should be here tomorrow. I'm so used to next day delivery from B&H (we live in the 1 day zone too), it was REALLY hard to wait for delivery from Cali, LOL!

I like mine a lot, the f/4 non IS. I got mine for an unbeatable price from a silly Canadian! :p

I don't use it a ton but I've been very happy with it.

I was thinking of taking some shots of the July 4th Fireworks this year, but then it got me thinking. There are 30-45 minutes of very large, continuous fireworks which produces a lot of smoke, thus would ruin many shots. Any ways / thoughts of getting around this issue, or would I have to bribe someone to let me in higher up in some building to take some shots?

Harm....smoke is seldom a big issue in fireworks photography...in fact, the smoke can even add to the image. There is a thread on fireworks tips that was a sticky for a while. Let me see if I can get it bumped up again.
