I made the step up to my Powershot S1IS after using a Sony point-and-shoot for the last couple of years. I'm really enjoying it but I don't have a true macro mode, so I purchased the Canon 500D dual element close-up lens (52mm). It screws on like a filter. I used it for this photo. I'm really pleased with it so far. In a couple of years I'll have to jump up there with the rest of you SLR folks, when I get the $$$ that is
