wheels are turned the wrong way for both pics but due to the light, you couoldn't take from the other side though.

isn't it bad to put lights in the hood intake? I mean, isn't that where the radiator is?

Equipment: Canon PowerShot A650IS (semi retired) and Canon Powershot G10 (primary) and Rebel XT 350D w/18-55mm kit lens and Quanterey 18-200mm-- www.youtube.com/alexander1485 (external link) (has links to some of my pictures on the main page)

That's awesome! I'll have to remember to go slow through Itasca! Nice shots.

That is where the air intake is on the boxter engine.

Not only the light was the factor but also flocks of folks. I got lucky for a second that there was no one around, actually I had to zoom crop a bit to get a clean shot.

You know, I was wondering the same thing about the lights in the scoop. There was still space around them but I'm not sure if enough to supply all the fresh air to the intercooler.

These cops were cool, the yellow one had "KEEP IT TO THE TRACK" written on the rear bumper :D

The scoop supplies air to the intercooler, the air intake is in the passenger side fender that connects to a ram behind the grill.

I wonder if this will start a trend towards smaller police cars.

Yeah, there are two slight curves in the main road in Itasca. I can imagine the conversation between the police chief and the rest of cops:
"Chief, our cruisers can't take the Irving Park curve, we need STIs"
"Alright, I'll order two"

:D

In reality, I think it's got something to do with a plague of suburban kids racing the streets.

You mean the yellow/blue? I personally think it looks weak.

Yeah that one. The black looks fine. I think they watched the Fast and the Furious and tried to get paint ideas.

Now that's the Fast and the Furious paint job, literally:
