You were warned - quite often the title fairy will hit in the most unexpected way! Just ask number six for the story behind his "turd" title!

What......You mean mine??.......hehe. All due to a silly bumper sticker that I happened to see one day and had to share with everyone. :D

As for an avatar.....Well I don't have one yet obviously, but I'm working on that.

Oh i forgot about yours as well - number six had an "interesting" one (or should that be two??) as a result of a comment about a comment.

Wild guess... Long, white, red-ringed primes.

Please PM me for a shipping address, I'm building a sacrificial pyre to absolve us all at once. Lenses will be completely consumed in the ensuing conflagration - honest. ;)

Sam, based on your history in this thread I'd suggest a pair of 1200/5.6 lenses might cover it.

Wouldn't you prefer 18 800MM f/5.6 lenses instead? Same price....

To be honest, I saw it coming to moment I decided to be brave and take part in the fun here while harbouring a false sense of security, lol. I should have listened to the little voice in my head telling me not to take the bait! And by that I meant my conscience -- I am not actually hearing voices in my head! ::fears the TF will strike again:: :|

By the way who is number six? I guess I should look for who has "turd" in his title (not counting Geoff's "terd").

Wow, even for just that! I really need to be careful then. Although, having fallen for it once, it will probably happen again.

Its not me, I am simply the messenger.

And I don't think price is the issue. The 1200/5.6 is a very rare beast, not unlike trying to find a virgin in this crowd.

:p

Ah, the famed number six! Care to elaborate on the "turd" story? Although I see that your title is quite normal right now.

If you did not double-tap (Zombieland reference), the TF will be after you shortly.

ya. i think it's so funny though, i wouldn't mind it being my new title, although it can be donated to another "I prefer a Manfrotto 3-way"

I hope I don't regret this. Maybe I'm inoculated by my sig line. Anyway, let me repeat: I the Title Fairy!

Ahem. Last winter I posted a picture of some plumbing work being done on my house (drain problems, no fun at all).

Someone else said "that must have been quite a turd". And the TF gave me that title. I wasn't really pleased.

After six months or so I sorta whined and whimpered at the TF and she (he?) took pity on me.

And that's why I the Title Fairy!
