My friend has this lens.
I was surprised how well it did with a Canon 2x ext.
It did really, really well.
Do you have an extender? I know you like to shoot sports.
If you don't, then it's time to spend some more money.
Like Lazuka said, "quit your slackin". ;)

Dave don't you find that the EF 300 f2.8 is a bit short for some sports photography? And while an extender would help it would also slow your lens by one stop resulting in an effective 420 f4. Where you could have a a EF400 F2.8 and a EF500F4. Incidentally Adoroma is listing a Canon USA Refurbished EF500 f4 on there website.

I find the piano to be a very odd item among this list! And I am surprised no one has noticed/commented on it yet. Maybe you can compose a tune to go with Green_Tea's song/poem he posted here earlier? :)

And here I thought that it was "Dreaming about Fairy Horton while wishing for twins" that Chrissy was craving. But that is what I get for believing in the TF.

Ah, but what a way to go!

Perhaps, perhaps. But I bet she would beat me up and then finish me off by using all that nice new gear to do it. LOL
