We Canadians celebrated our thanksgiving a month ago. Americans celebrate it late and, for some strange reason like to deep fry their turkeys.

Not me. I prefer my bird smoked. Its soaking in the secret sauce right now awaiting its date with the heat tomorrow morning.

I refuse to go to that site, as that crazy lady starts talking to me every time

I'm not sure what she's all about. I click on them and then yell at my laptop to shut up. Of course, that's only when I actually have the sound on...which is seldom.

Canadian T-day is a month earlier because is COLD up north. How much snow is on the ground, how many inches have fallen? My girlfriend sends pictures of their street where the snow is higher than her Honda.

Gotta say, I do like the deep frying.....although you really do need a baked one for some good stuffing. And the bonus is that it takes a lot less time to cook!

I have tried it, and I still don't understand it. It seems like a gratuitous excuse to deep fry yet another meal.

Stereotype. I haven't fried or eaten anything fried for nearly a year, this included french fries........

Now there's something that I'd like to try. A smoke turkey, nom, nom. :D

One side of my family is going out to eat.
One side is doing the cooking themselves.
I'm going out to fine dine and the next day I get home cooked leftovers.
I got it covered. ;)

Well I have a nice rib-eye steak in the 'fridge for tomorrow, I think that it sounds much better than Turkey maybe not traditional but it is good. Steak, baked potato and pumpkin pie (I have to bow to that tradition)

Pretty simple if you have a gas grill and a couple hours to kill drinking, the rest is pretty flexible.

I can send you some leftovers if you want.

People eat fried chicken all the time. What's so wrong about fried turkey? I've never actually had fried turkey, but I'd sure as heck try it if I get a chance!
